Many times it has been said to communicate the goals to the team. So what normally happens is the team is brought together and the goals are verbally communicated to them in a meeting. This is affective in many ways and will usually end up being a monthly meeting.
However more needs to be done than this in team building. Not all people learn well from listening. Some people are very visual in either pictures and graphs, or reading. Knowing this allows information to be given in different ways.
Teams are made of of individuals and each individual must understand the goals in order for the team to work together. It’s often a good idea to check in with individuals to see if they have the same understanding.
It really comes down to whether the team understands the same goals, in the same way, the leader does.
